Kwandwe Game Reserve Info
Kwandwe Private Game Reserve is situated in the heart of the Eastern Cape, within easy reach to South Africa's awe-inspiring coastline. It is a reserve that offers a perfect beginning or ending of a South African safari along the famous Garden Route. The area's history is told in the wide open spaces and tranquil scenery through all the battles fought on and around Kwandwe Private Game Reserve. This area was the heart of the frontier wars in the 1800's and 1900's. This land has been desired by many men and cultures and now people live in and around the reserve in peace and harmony.
Kwandwe lodges:
1. Great Fish River Lodge the lodge is situated along the lush green banks of the river which is named after, the lodge offers guests the chance to view the animals from their balconies. Guests are offered a variety of activities that they can take part in, like night drives, bush walks, children activities or cultural activities.
2.Ecca_Lodgeis set in thick vegetation overlooking a dense valley, offering views of the breathtaking views of the steep shale cliffs. The lodge is also perfect for families as there is also a children’s play centre, the main lodge consisting of sitting room, dining room and bar area.
3. Uplands Homestead this is a 1905 farmhouse which has been restored to accommodate families and groups of six. With three suites, butler, chef, private safari car, ranger and tracker team the farmhouse is just perfect for a family getaway.
4.Melton Manor is surrounded by the river and mountains and guests can have a view in three different directions, the farmhouse is ideal for families and group of eight. The farmhouse is decorated in a mix of old and new furnisher, with the antique settler’s furnisher given fresh life making guests feel right at home.
