The town of Grahamstown is one of the premier tourist route in the Eastern Cape, the town carries a history of different cultures who met here the Khoi, Xhosa, Boer and British. The City of Saints as it is known because it has most churches than any oter town in the country, the history of these settlers is still visible in the town this can be seen in the streets and buildings of the town. The main attractions of the Grahamstown include the Observatory Museum which houses one of two Victorian Cameras Obscura in the world, but the town is not only famous for its history. The town which is malaria-free region is fast gaining local and international popularity for game-viewing with a variety of game reserve which include the Big Five. Grahamstown offers adventurous visitors activities to take part in, activities such as skydiving, game-viewing, hunting, abseiling etc. For visitors who are passionate about art there is the Grahamstown Art Festival, and even outside festival times the area has several cultural events and the art galleries show case the art work of the locals.
