Fort Beaufort

The town of Fort Beaufort is found is found in the citrus farming Katriver Valley, and it dates back to 1822. The town rests on the banks of Kat river and is surrounded by the majestic Katberg and Amatola mountain ranges, the town has a number of historic sites to visit. These sites include the national monument Martello tower and some of the attractions include the Fort Fordyce Nature Reserve which is just 25 km from Fort Beaufort. Activities which are popular at the reserve include hiking, fishing, game viewing, and horse riding.
