Addo Information & Attractions

Just outside of Port Elizabeth about an hour’s drive one will find the little town of Addo, where you will find the Addo Elephant Park. The town lies in the Sunday River Valley which is surrounded by the Zuurberg Mountains, for hiking and horse riding trails. The town is overshadowed by the Elephant Park as this is the main attraction of the town, the park has about 350 elephants and also home to the cape buffalo and the black rhino. The history of the elephants alone tells a story about the town it dates back to 1931, the town is also close to game reserve such as Shamwari and Schotia reserve making it the ideal destination for adventurous guests. The town also offers the best accommodation to cater for families or couples to groups.
