Amakhala Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape, South Africa is a privately owned joint conservation initiative where animals have been reintroduced to the area where they once roamed. Leeuwenbosch Country House, one of the 6 lodges found on the Amakhala Reserve, consists of 2 accommodations: The Country House and Shearers Lodge. The Country House is the original farm house that is styled into a colonial farmstead for accommodation guests and the Shearers Lodge is the old stables that have been renovated into en-suite rooms with beautiful contemporary styled décor. The Lodge is set amongst beautifully maintained indigenous gardens. Both the Country House and Shearers Lodge have been awarded as 4-star recognition.
Kwandwe Private Reserve is a 22,000 hectare reserve that offers guests fantastic game viewing and luxury accommodation. Ecca Lodge at Kwandwe offers guests 6 en-suite rooms that are very modern and stylish. Guest areas overlooking the Spekboom valleys and consist of a spacious sitting room with a fireplace, a dining room and a bar area and deep verandahs with large viewing decks for fantastic views over the Eastern Cape bush.
