It focuses on the community development and involvement.

Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:

Woodall Country House takes a keen interest in benefiting the community, and has a policy of only employing local residents wherever possible and offering training. In addition local artists and contractors are commissioned to put their skills at work for Woodall, and many of the unique décor objects, pieces of furniture and items in the curio shop have been fashioned by local crafts folk. Woodall is an active force in the Church Feeding Scheme, providing crèches in the local communities of Nomathamsanqa, Langbos and Valencia with basic foodstuffs, donations of clothing and other essential items. Woodall is also proud to sponsor "Elephant City", one of the top soccer teams in Nomathamsanqa.
