The Elephant House is an exclusive nine-bedroom thatched lodge with all the bedrooms opening up onto wide verandahs. The verandahs are beautifully furnished with chairs, sofas and Persian rugs, which add to the charm. Meals are enjoyed in a dining room, which is also on the verandah, makes outside dining a great experience. The décor at The Elephant House depicts colonial & African art and images and is furnished with a private collection of antiques, Persian rugs and Afrikana art.
The Sundays River Valley where the Elephant House situated is world famous for its citrus fruit production, the area exports an excess of 12 million cartons of fruit to the Northern Hemisphere every year, and the valley is said to have the best lemons and oranges in the World.
The Elephant House is on the doorstep of the Addo National Park, which is sanctuary to the Big 5 (Elephant, Lion, Buffalo, and Black Rhino & Leopard) as well as the extended park that is home to the Great White shark, and the Southern Write Whale. The park was proclaimed in 1931 to protect the near threatened Elephant and today is home to over 400 of these magnificent animals.

The Elephant House is a colonial thatched farmhouse with deep verandahs filled with comfortable sofas and Persian rugs, built around courtyards and lush gardens.
The facilities of The Elephant House are well maintained and of a high standard with two swimming pools set in the lush gardens and a "club room" to enjoy the DVD library, games and a laptop for all your internet needs.
The Elephant House services are all 5-star with a 24-hour room service to complementary teatime cakes and snacks.
