Without any restrictions of the Big Five reserves, your professional guides will introduce you to the highly endangered cheetah, guests have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive interaction with these graceful predators and get up close and personal with these wild animals. Catch sight of the secretive aardvark on a night drive or marvel at the herds of plains antelope.

Other excursions include excursions to fossil sites and bushman paintings that have been well preserved for hundreds of years giving guests an insight into the Earths historical intricacies.

Late check out policy:
Late check-out must be requested prior to arrival and is at the lodge managements' discretion.

Policy on children staying with parents:

• Children of all ages are welcome at Samara
• Dedicated children's program on offer daily at Karoo Lodge
• Only children of age 8 and over are allowed on scheduled game drives
• All children before 3rd birthday, sharing with adults, are free of charge at Karoo Lodge
• 3rd birthday to 8th birthday, sharing with adults, pay 25% of adult rate at Karoo Lodge
• 8th birthday to 14th birthday, sharing with adults, pay 50% of adult rate at Karoo Lodge
• All guests of age 14 and over are required to take their own room at adult rates
• A maximum of 2 children to be accommodated in Karoo Suites and a maximum of 1 child in Lodge Suites, sharing with 2 adults
• 3rd adults are not permitted to share rooms
• No Children under the age of 8 years are allowed at Mountain Retreat

Cancellation Policy:

• Reservations are not confirmed until such time as a deposit has been paid
• A 50% deposit of the total accommodation amounts and any air or road transfers arranged by Samara, is payable within fourteen days from date of confirmation
• The remaining 50% of the accommodation payment and any air or road transfers arranged by Samara, must be made 30 days prior to arrival
• Reservations made within 30 days of arrival date must be confirmed by full payment within 48 hours
• Reservations cancelled 46+ days prior to arrival will be charged at 5% of the total accommodation amount
• Reservations cancelled 45 - 21 days prior to arrival will be charged at 50% of the total accommodation amount
• Reservations cancelled 20 - 0 days prior to arrival will be charged at 100% of the total accommodation
• Reservations will be released automatically & without notification if these payment conditions are not met
• Rates are subject to change without notice
• Credit Card transactions cannot be processed without signed authorization being faxed to Samara Private Game Reserve (Pty) Ltd., reservations department

Transfers

• Road or air transfers can be arranged on request at an additional cost
• These are handled by accredited charter companies
• Quotes are given subject to change without notice
• For safety reasons flights are subject weather conditions. A substitute transfer will be arranged by road, if required
• A cancellation fee may be incurred if a confirmed charter is cancelled by the client
