Each cottage has been furnished with antiques from that time and are elegantly styled ensuring comfort for guests. The cottages consist of 1 to 3 bedrooms and all have a lounge area and kitchen area.
Typical Karoo dinners are served at the Victoria manor, the specialties include Karoo lamb, boboties and chicken pies to name a few, all traditional South African foods.
Die Tuishuise is a collection of Victorian era crafts-men’s houses in Cradock, which is a frontier town at the eastern edge of the Great Karoo in the Eastern Cape. Over two dozen Tuishuise line Market Street up to the Victoria Manor, the grand old colonial hotel that welcomes guests with warmth and friendliness, the décor is from the days of Cecil John Rhodes, Olive Schreiner and the thousands of adventurers who passed here en route to the inland. Die Tuishuise is a fantastic base from which to explore the unique landscapes, fauna and flora of the nearby Mountain Zebra National Park.
