Bukela Game Lodge

Bukela Lodge is such a place where guests can relax and participate in the splendor of the African bush whilst still enjoying the quality service and comfort of luxurious accommodation. Bukela offers the opportunity of discovering the Eastern Cape which is of significant cultural and historical importance in South Africa. The reserve is also in close proximity of some of the most pristine beaches along the South African coastline. Guests who visit Bukela get to enjoy the true African experience with the perfect mix of African cuisine and style in the lodge.

"Bukela" meaning "admire" or "place of admiration" is well suited, as people who visit Bukela Lodge always offer their admiration for the place and often extend their stays, or try to if there are not more guests already booked in.

Game that maybe viewed include the White Rhino, Cape Buffalo, Elephant, Lion, Cheetah, Leopard, Serval, Giraffe, Black Wildebeest, Zebra and more than 12 species of Antelope. Smaller game includes the Bat Eared Fox, Vervet Monkey, Bush Pig, Warthog, Aardvark, Aardwolf, Spring Hair, Porcupine and Tortoise.

Approximately 250 bird species may be viewed in the area including the rare African Finfoot and include many raptors such as the Fish Eagle, Crowned Eagle and Jackal buzzard. A variety of snake and insect species may also be discovered. Flora and fauna is typically African valley bushveld punctuated by colorful wild flowers specific to the area.

Bukela offers all the amenities of a 5-star lodge. The staff is always on hand to serve all your requirements and offers an excellent service to guests. Activities include game drives and walks. Bukela is situated close to the coastline and excursions to the beaches are provided.

Late check out policy:
Late check-out is only at the lodge managements' discretion and only be considered by prior arrangement.

Policy on children staying with parents:

• Children will only be accepted at Bukela Game Lodge by special arrangement
• Child rate applies when sharing with 2 adults

Cancellation Policy:

• A 50 % non-refundable deposit is required to confirm a booking, with full payment due 7 days before arrival
• In the event of notification of cancellation or no show, the following cancellation fee shall apply on the full booking:
  
  
  • Cancellation more than 7 days prior to arrival is subject to a 50% cancellation fee
  • Cancellation less than 7 days prior to arrival is subject to a 100% cancellation fee

• All rates are in South African Rands and include VAT
• For booking and rates purposes, children are considered to be under the age of 12
• Please note that all guests are required to sign an indemnity form on arrival
• Bukela Game Lodge reserves the right to admit any guests/s and furthermore reserves the right to remove any guest/s whose behavior impacts negatively on other guests and/ or staff
