Amakhala, the name in Xhosa means Aloes, is the popular plant found throughout this particular area in South Africa and in the extremely diverse Eastern Cape Province. The reserve is approximately 7,000 hectares in size and is an ideal place to experience the true African safari. Abundant wildlife and an environment that supports them is an ideal setting to experience an Eastern Cape safari. Safari Lodges' African tribal design offers guests a holistic safari experience, with relaxation areas always reminding guests that they are in the African bush. The Safari Huts have drop down canvas blinds that open up views of a waterhole where zebra and other animals come to drink.

Rooms may be occupied from 14:00 on the day of arrival. Game drives leave from 14:30, so please ensure that you arrive on time.
Should you not be able to attend lunch on the day of arrival, please inform reservations accordingly.
Rooms must be vacated by 11:00 on the day of departure for the convenience of arriving guests.
Day room rates are available upon request and are subject to availability.
