5 Day Eastern Cape Safari Self Drve
A fantastic tour for travellers who would like to experience a large portion of the Eastern Cape. This tour complements a Garden Route tour and a tour returning to the Western Cape via Outdshoorn. This tour centres on two distinct regions, namely the Addo region and the Karoo region in the Eastern Cape.
Travellers stay in very comfortable accommodation very close to the Addo National Park and also in luxury Cape Dutch accommodation in the Karoo at Mount Camdeboo Private Game Reserve.
DAY 1: DEPART PORT ELIZABETH AND TRAVEL TO ADDO NATIONAL PARK
Clients will enjoy a comfortable drive to the Addo National Park where they will check into the Stables Country Cottages just outside the park. From here guests can explore the area by enjoying a number of activities available. The most popular ofcourse is a drive through the Addo National Park itself.

DAY 2: ADDO NATIONAL PARK
Clients enjoy the day exploring the Addo region. An early morning Elephant Back Safari in the Zuurberg Mountains is arranged for guests. Guests are collected at the pre arranged collection point and after the activity they are dropped off again. Then during the afternoon guests can enjoy a guided safari through the Addo or enjoy a self drive safari through the Addo National Park.

DAY 3: DEPART ADDO REGION TRAVEL TO MOUNT CAMDEBOO PRIVATE RESERVE IN THE KAROO.
Guests enjoy breakfast before checking out and travel along the N10 towards Somerset East where they can enjoy optional visits to the Walter Batis museum. Walter Batis was a famous South african Artist regarded as being ahead of his time in art circles. From Somerset East guests travel to Mount Camdeboo Private Reserve where they will enjoy a late lunch and an afternoon early evening wildlife safari. On returning to the lodge guests enjoy time to freshen up and then enjoy a fantastic dinner.

DAY 4: MOUNT CAMDEBOO PRIVATE GAME RESERVE
Guests are offered a wakeup call for the early departure of the morning game drive. A tea and coffee station is set up with biscuits for guests before departure and there is a short stop for guests to enjoy some hot refreshments whilst on drive. After the game excursion the guests return to the lodge for a delicious breakfast prepared by the local chef. Guests have time after breakfast to relax and enjoy the surroundings before a light lunch is served before the evening game excursion which is conducted to a spectacular spot on the reserve for a sundowner drink and snack for your final evening in the Karoo.
After the evening drive guests are treated to a special culinary delight with dinner being served by the in house chef

DAY 5: DEPART MOUNT CAMDEBOO AND TRAVEL TO PORT ELIZABETH
Guests enjoy a morning Safari before breakfast. After breakfast guests depart for Port Elizabeth to arrive early afternoon to end the tour or continue to a destination pre arranged.

All meals are prepared by qualified chefs. Please advise us of any special dietary requirements in advance to ensure that your meals are prepared correctly.
Transport.
The transport is supplied by the guest who book.
What Do You Need?
An adventurous spirit and a love for nature & wildlife. It would be a good idea to bring along a rain jacket, camera, binoculars, any guide books, sunscreen, hat, warm jacket and personal toiletries.
Malaria
This tour takes place in a malaria free area of South Africa. We do advised to bring insect repellant during our summer months.

Cancellation Policy
If the reservation is cancelled by the client, cancellation fees will be due and payable according to the following:
- 30 to 45 days prior to planned departure date, a refund of the amount paid in excess of the non-refundable deposit.
- 21 to 30 days prior to the planned tour departure date, a refund of the amount paid in excess of the non-refundable deposit plus 25%
- 20 days or less to the planned tour departure date, no refund.
If the reservation is cancelled by the operator, who reserves the right to do so in its discretion, then the full amount paid, shall be refunded to the client.
Self drive option so there is no collection.
