DAY 1: ARRIVE PORT ELIZABETH – VISIT CHEETAH BREEDING PROGRAM – ADDO NATIONAL PARK

Guests arrive at Port Elizabeth airport where they are met by a Lyon Tours & Safaris representative who will give them a welcome pack with details of their tour. The guests are assisted with the collection of their rental vehicle. After collecting their vehicle the guests travel to the Daniel Cheetah Breeding program where they will have the opportunity to interact with these amazing animals. Other species are also available to view like the Serval Cat, Lion cubs and Lynx (Caracal) if they are staying at the centre during the time of the visit. Guests then travel to the Addo region to check in at their accommodation for the night.

DAY 2: MORNING CANOEING EXCURSION – REPTILE AND RAPTOR CENTRE – ADDO NATIONAL PARK NIGHT DRIVE

Guests wake early and are collected for their early morning canoeing excursion on the upper parts of the Sundays River. Guests enjoy this fantastic experience with amazing birdlife along the banks of the river and the guide telling all about the natural environment and area. After the excursion the guests are dropped off again at their accommodation for breakfast. After breakfast guests enjoy a visit to the Raptor and Reptile centre. Here the they will enjoy a very interesting and informative experience by the staff of the centre. (Lunch can be enjoyed here at guests own expense). The afternoon is at leisure and the guests can enjoy an evening or afternoon wildlife safari (game drive) with the National Parks vehicle and guide or just a leisurely drive through the Addo in a personal vehicle. (Bookings are essential and at guests own expense).

DAY 3: ZUURBERG MOUNTAINS

After breakfast guests are collected for a fantastic day excursion into the Zuurburg Mountains. Guests escape from civilization for a day and experience the Peace and Tranquillity of life off the beaten track. Guests will be driven on a 4X4 route into a remote, pristine, and lush forest section of Addo Elephant National Park. Deep in the heart of the Zuurberg Mountains, guests enjoy a leisurely stroll along a mountain stream that bypasses caves, waterfalls, rock pools and a natural fountain. For a more relaxed experience, guests can also choose to kick back and take in the breathtaking scenery, relax in the picturesque surroundings, floating on a tube in a lovely mountain pool. More energetic guests are able to hike through indigenous forests and open grasslands that are rich in fauna and flora. This is a truly personalized experience with unspoilt nature. Lunch is served at a Mountain Pool where you can relax on a floating tube and enjoy this birdwatchers paradise.

Other options available for the guests on the Mountain Safari include hiking, mountain biking, and freshwater fishing which can be included into your itinerary

DAY 4: ADDO NATIONAL PARK - DEPART

Guests enjoy breakfast before checking out of their rooms. Guests then complete the checking out procedure then have the opportunity to enjoy exploring the Addo National Park with the Woodall open wildlife viewing vehicle and specialist guide.
